• What facilities are available at Egmont Key State Park?

  Due to its remote location, no convenience facilities - including toilets - are available at the park. There is an historic guardhouse on the island that has been restored for future use as an education center and museum, but is not yet open on a regular basis. During select summer holidays, the guardhouse is opened and park rangers offer short educational talks to visitors, and on the second Saturday and Sunday in November, enjoy Discover Your Island Days.

• What is there to see and do at Egmont Key State Park?

  The park's remote location and protected beaches make it the ideal destination for migratory and local birds and animals. Enjoy watching Gopher Tortoises, Terns, Laughing Gulls and other wildlife. Hike the miles of trails that wind across the coastal grasslands, berms and beach dunes. Fish, swim and picnic on the white sand beaches. Widlife photography is also a popular activity at Egmont Key.
